Sartorial finesse defines these miami gents. A closer look reveals the personalities behind all that panache. First up, Louis Andre
LOUIS ANDRE
As the art director for Ace Marks, a line of premium men’s shoes handcrafted in Italy, and past roles working with various brands, Louis Andre is exposed to style inspiration on a daily basis. The 32-year-old has taken all that knowledge and made it his own with a signature look that’s best described as 2020 dandy. “I like to look classy, but with some flair on the modern side,” says Andre, who’s currently overseeing production of his very own line of suits. “My accessories stand out with subtle detail.” Not purposely subtle at all is his hairstyle, a James Dean-like pompadour, only higher. “I never leave the house without doing my hair,” he adds. “That will just never happen.”
What is your fashion philosophy? Antes muerto que sencillo, which translates as dead before plain.
What is your earliest fashion memory? My first communion. I stood out from the group by wearing an olive-green suit. I don’t know how I got away with it.
Favorite brand? Dzojchen is my favorite label because of the way it approaches paradox and duality, and unexpected balance from contradiction.
What’s on your fashion bucket list? To one day rock a fashion piece from every country I visit.
What’s going to be your spring 2020 fashion splurge? Since I travel a lot, it’s going to be the Dior X Rimowa aluminum personal clutch.
