Ariete Hospitality Group’s (AHG) newest concept, The Oyster Bar, has officially opened to the public as part of Coconut Grove’s newly restored shopping plaza CocoWalk. Specializing in raw bar classics, The Oyster Bar is only phase one of AHG’s two-part restaurant rollout, which will see the opening of Mediterranean-inspired Eva.
Helmed by executive chef and owner Michael Beltran of Michelin-starred Ariete, The Oyster Bar is poised to be yet another culinary hit exploding The Grove. The seafood-forward menu boasts a tantalizing menu of Snacks, designed for munching over a post-work meetup or a late night out. Some of the raw bar classics include Oysters on the Half Shell, Conch Salad, Corvina Ceviche, Corn Brochette and Clam Dip.
Several craft cocktails are gracing the menu, such as the Rye Tai, a rye whiskey, pineapple, orgeat and lemon combo, the El Séquito, a tequila, mezcal, lime, habanero tincture and grapefruit soda combo and the Watermelon Caipirinha, a Cachaça, watermelon and lemon combo.
Swing by during happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. to indulge in $1.50 oysters, $6 beers and $9 well spirits and wine. The nine-seat, speakeasy-style bar is part of the larger, soon-to-open Eva, but is just as much of a culinary destination in its own right. Perhaps a more intentional one that hones in on its craft.
