In Miami, size most definitely matters. Get your mind out of the gutter. We’re talking design here! To celebrate its 10th anniversary in Miami and the opening of its two-story, 42,000-square-foot showroom in Aventura, Artefacto welcomed more than 2,000 guests for an evening of cocktails and furniture. Showroom owners Paulo Bacchi and his wife Lais were a yin-yang of Miami style (he in dapper black; she in head-to-toe white sequin) as they lifted the curtain on their new location and announced their newest endeavors. Among these: a furniture collaboration with designer Briggs Solomon and additional lines in honor of the brand hitting the decade-mark in South Florida. As guests entered the party, they were greeted by “dancing chandeliers,” aerialists dangling from light fixtures who performed multiple gymnastics maneuvers—all while pouring Champagne for the revelers below. Attendees—among them DJ Irie, racecar champion Helio Castroneves, and developers Alicia Cervera and Gil Dezer—took in the spectacle as they perused the store’s various vignettes of furniture and accessories. “No one puts on a party quite like the Brazilians,” noted one guest. You can say that again! Photos by World Red Eye
