Created to develop a mindful mindset, the acclaimed Red Rooster Overtown restaurant is partnering with the Udonis Haslem Foundation to present Mindfulness Monday on Oct. 9.
Hosted by the Red Rooster Overtown Restaurant, Mindfulness Monday is a special event invented to guide guests through a transformative mindfulness journey. Featuring special guests Adam Avin, teen author of the book “Stress Less” Mindfulness for Teenagers, and Miami HEAT legend Udonis Haslem, the event focuses on mindfulness and why stress and pressure are bad for your body and mind.
Avin and Haslem will walk guests through developing a mindful mindset and focusing on the present rather than worrying about the past or future. During the event, guests can enjoy light bites, cocktails, networking, book readings, signings and a silent auction.
The exceptional event’s proceeds will go toward the community through the Udonis Haslem Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports children and families from underserved communities while raising mental health awareness, criminal justice reforms, minority business owners and related causes relevant to community accessibility.
Mindfulness Monday serves as a meaningful part of both Red Rooster Overtown’s mission and the Udonis Haslem Foundation of spreading hope, access and opportunity while giving back to the local community.
