From the moment I arrive at Sandals Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, I’m greeted by an elegantly designed open-air lobby offering sweeping pool views, ushering my eyes to the horizon, and I feel the fresh air on my skin. The latest addition to the beloved hotel portfolio elevates the traditional Sandals experience by pushing the boundaries on what to expect from an all-inclusive resort.
Encouraging guests to leave their world behind, Sandals takes care of every need you have from the moment you arrive on the island. Whether taking the boat transfer from the airport and exploring the coastal views or opting for the traditional ride through the town, taking in the picturesque island and learning about its history, you can leave your worries on the plane. We opt to drive through town, offering the perfect sneak peek at what to expect during our stay.
As an integral part of the Sandals brand, the late founder of Sandals and Beaches Resort, Gordon “Butch” Stewart, selected each location based on its proximity and views of the water. Tucked away from the town in its private cove, the new resort offers 50 secluded acres of pure, unspoiled scenery for the ultimate gateway. With a majestic blue sea and secluded beaches, Sandals Saint Vincent and The Grenadines is a majestic paradise that takes a modern approach without losing the brand’s spirit and honoring its Caribbean history.

Boasting an extensive food and beverage program, Sandals offers a range of cuisines with 11 dining options setting this property in a class of its own among the resort portfolio. From the seafood restaurant Scrimshaw—which serves extensive freshly sourced seafood like snapper, conch and scallops paired with a vegetable-forward menu—to Buccan, the family-style dining experience where guests can enjoy local dishes and ingredients with a modern and re-imagined interpretation, guests can expect a culinary journey and gastronomic pleasures at every turn. Pro tip: As one of the only restaurants that requires a reservation, schedule your Buccan dining experience for the second night of your stay to meet other guests on the property and learn about the Vincy culture as you enjoy locally inspired food. Designed under an open-concept pergola, the restaurant fully engrosses guests within the resort. Drawing from Saint Vincent culture, the dining concept of Buccan is about family, encouraging strangers to become friends, seamlessly fitting into the resort’s ethos.
As a highlight of my stay, I had the pleasure of learning from the talented team of chefs at Buccan while they explained each ingredient and the cultural significance of each course—from the culinary techniques that went into making each dish to ingredients, plating presentation and the open fire serving as the final and integral ingredient. Cultural experiences go beyond traditional restaurants. After dinner, spend the night at the rum bar, Three Jewels, stocked with traditional Saint Vincentian rum and nonstop music. With an air of nostalgia, a record player, board games and rum cocktail tastings, the rum bar is one of many resort spots where you can enjoy this Caribbean staple.

Encouraging a sense of discovery both on and off the resort, your stay at Sandals Saint Vincent can take many forms. With extensive offerings letting you enjoy a sense of adventure, serenity or both, Sandals can curate the perfect experience exploring the island’s diversity. For the adventure seekers, take a boat to one of the neighboring islands to explore rainforests, waterfalls and go snorkeling with marine life in crystal-clear waters. For a local experience, venture to the farmers market with the Sandals team and discover local passion fruit, breadfruit and fresh coconut. Then, find local pepper sauce and spices the resort uses at its restaurants. If choosing to remain on property during your stay, resort-scheduled activities are boundless. Schedule an array of on-site water sports, such as getting scuba certified, kayaking to a bat cave, sailing, sunset paddleboarding and more.
Incorporating Saint Vincent’s sense of resiliency, culture and community into its programming, guests can enjoy an array of nightly activities that offer a glimpse into the island’s history. Spend your night at Sandals’ take on Carnival, take in a fire-dancing drum circle on the beach, or delight in Sandals’ version of the doubles, a Caribbean street food made with channa or curried chickpeas.
