South Florida is revered for a few things– sun, sand and good food. One of the best places to see this combination is at the SAVOR SoFLO Festival coming to the sands of Hollywood Beach for its third year in a row. The two-day festival on April 1 and 2 at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort aims to draw local and visiting foodies to spend a weekend at the beach for unforgettable culinary creations with over 25,000 square feet of tastings, live music and much more.

“We incorporate national food brands, visiting chefs from across the country and across the state, along with local restaurant partners to create a very elevated, well-rounded festival that is a foodie’s dream,” explained Tammy Gail, the founder and CEO of SAVOR SoFLO. “We showcase local chef rockstars across Broward County, and guests enjoy tastings, sips, culinary education, and lots of free goodies.”
The festival’s Grand Tasting Village will feature dozens of chefs, culinary personalities, restaurants, wine and spirits producers and craft breweries for visitors to discover throughout the event. Live cooking demonstrations on the San Pellegrino Cooking Stage will also be taking place, featuring local and national chef talent alongside brand activations from Publix, the festival’s presenting sponsor.

Aside from providing all-inclusive fun and samplings, a portion of the proceeds raised from ticket sales will benefit Broward Health Foundation. According to Gail, the founder and CEO of South Florida breast cancer charity Glam-A-THON, SAVOR SoFLO primarily aims to help women in financial need who are battling the condition. All of the funds donated to the Broward Health Foundation will be assisting women battling breast cancer who are either uninsured or under-insured, with SAVOR SoFLO having donated $600,000 already to the cause.

SAVOR SoFLO has also made a commitment to sustainability in almost every possible aspect. Throughout the duration of the event, vendors will use compostable and biodegradable materials to support Hollywood Beach’s sustainability effort.
“We look forward to our best year yet, with new and exciting offerings and participants, plenty of food, drinks and music,” said Gail. “We cannot wait for a fabulous weekend of wine in our hands and toes in the sand.”
