Former Miami Heat Shane Battier Set To Host Cabernet With Battier Event

By: Rob Vazquez By: Rob Vazquez | December 9, 2021 | Lifestyle

Miami Heat 3-point shooting legend Shane Battier is returning to the Magic City alongside his wife to host their namesake event, Cabernet with Battier at Byblos Miami. After taking a year of absence due to COVID-19, the fundraiser makes its postquarantine debut and shoots from beyond the arc while aiming to surpass the $170,000 raised at its inaugural event in 2020.

Cabernet with Battier raises funds for the Battier family’s nonprofit organization, The Battier Take Charge Foundation—a charity established to offer college scholarships and educational opportunities for the underprivileged youth ranging from South Florida and Houston to Detroit.

This year’s rendition promises to be more refined than ever with tastings from eight renowned vineyards of Napa Valley, perfectly paired with delectable dinner favorites from Byblos Miami’s kitchen. Showcasing a rare lineup of wines and Champagnes throughout the evening, guests will sing along with the Battier family at a karaoke afterdinner party in Byblos’ private event suite.

With notable past attendees including Heat legends Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Pat Riley and Udonis Haslem, tickets are available at various tier levels, with limited single-person tickets starting at $1,000. While the people of Miami are always looking for a reason to sip on fine wine, Shane Battier invites you to raise a glass to divine spirits, honor within community and the art of the good deed.
