Sky's the Limit

| November 28, 2014 | Parties National

The Event
As it continues to build excitement for its new venue, any party by The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science is an RSVP sure thing. Its recent Planetarium AstroJam! was no exception. And we’re not surprised, as the evening combined the four things Miami loves best: music, art, cocktails and wow-factor.

The Crowd
Young and old, hip and square, science-obsessed or merely curious, the guest list was a spicy mix of characters, all of whom museum director Gillian Thomas was happy to welcome. Among them were TV producer Angela Caraway, publicists Annelisa Sichel and Jennifer Valdes, and musicians Rob Goyanes and Brad Lovett.

The Highlights
Held under the museum’s historic Planetarium dome, the evening began with the premiere of the short film Yearbook, which follows a man as he tries to compile the definitive history of human existence. Later, attendees moved on to the museum’s rooftop observatory to gaze at the night sky and mingle, before heading back to the Planetarium for live music by Goyanes and Lovett, as well as a series of live improvisational dome projections by Miami artists Sri Prabha and Nayib Estefan. Trippy in every way. -Photos by World Red Eye
