Slow Food Miami

Over 200 food lovers gathered poolside at The Raleigh Hotel to celebrate Slow Food Miami’s 3rd Annual “Snail of Approval” Tasting Party. The event, hosted by Chef Michael Schwartz and WSVN’s Louis Aguirre, brought together nineteen of Miami’s most acclaimed Chefs & artisans who used sustainable, local ingredients to showcase their signature style. Accompanying the delicious noshes were hand-crafted GREY GOOSE Vodka cocktails, Stellar Wines, Michael’s Genuine Home Brew and Vero Water. The evening also featured a “People’s Choice Award,” which was given to Chef Aaron Brooks from Edge Steak & Bar for his Key West Shrimp with pickled ramps, baby tomatoes, eggplant and black olive crumbs. The judge’s panel “Best Bite” honor went to Chef Todd Erickson of Huahua’s Taqueria for his Elote, freshly grilled corn topped with spicy mayo, cotija cheese and cilantro. -Photography by Brett Hufziger/ BHUF.COM
