Social Domination

| April 28, 2016 | Parties

The larger-than-life Destination Fashion took over Bal Harbour Shops with an evening marked by dinner, a spectacular auction, a fashion show from Brunello Cucinelli and entertainment vignettes throughout the entire mall, all to raise serious funds ($7 million, to be exact) for The Buoniconti Fund, the fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.

Presented by Swanee and Paul DiMare, the evening brought together Miami’s foremost philanthropists and celebrities alike. Among those in attendance and being recognized were Gloria and Emilio Estefan, various members of the Whitman family (owners of BHS), Micky and Madeleine Arison, Edie Laquer, Christine Lynn and Lois B. Pope.

The celebration roared with the presentation of the Women of Substance and Style awards, which honored 38 ladies for their altruism. And the party ended with unabashed Cuban flavor when Pitbull took the stage for a concert that had most (if not all) 2,000 attendees on their feet and cheering for Mr. 305. -Photography by Manny Hernandez & World Red Eye/Courtesy of The Buoniconti Fund
