As a new Florida resident, how is your new life and why Miami?
I lived in New York for nine years until the pandemic hit. I left the city and lived out of my suitcase for over a year. It made me understand that I could actually have my base anywhere and fly out for work. Miami is that sweet spot between New York, Europe and Brazil (the places I travel to most). Th e warm weather, the beach life and water sports on weekends are what I always dreamed of while living in the Big Apple.
We know you love the ocean and are an environmental enthusiast. Tell us more about Clean Miami Beach.
Clean Miami Beach (@cleanmiamibeach) is an NGO I collaborate with. They organize clean-ups on the beach and bay areas, plus they help raise awareness of single-use plastics and recycling. We collect things people dispose of that would eventually end up in the stomachs of marine life or otherwise would take 400 years to decompose, if we’re lucky. It is overwhelming how uninformed the population is about recycling and properly disposing of items. For example, one of the main items we find on the beach are cigarette butts. Many people do not know they do not decompose as they are made of plastic. Our dear eco warrior Sophie Ringel, the Clean Miami Beach founder, finally got it approved with the City of Miami Beach for it to be illegal to smoke on the beach, starting this January 2023.

What is one beauty ritual you follow every day?
I always clean my face with micellar water before I sleep and apply my night creams. Your skin cells regenerate the most while you are asleep, so it is important that your pores are clean with the correct boosters.
What are some words you live by?
You are the master of your fate. I believe in go-getters—don’t ever wait on others to make things happen! Also to the ones who project their lives onto their partner’s life—in my opinion, no one should have their dreams in someone else’s hands. People of course share their dreams with their loved ones, but always be sure to use your inner power to create the reality you wish for.
Do you have any advice you’d give to your teenage self?
Don’t worry, all your dreams will come true! I suffered a lot in school for being too skinny and too tall, but these traits are what gave me a career and the lifestyle I’ve always dreamed of.

What is a dream job of yours?
I’m already doing my dream job! It is funny, I never actually dreamed of being a model. I was a very nerdy child who did dream of traveling the world; however, I had no idea how it was going to happen. Modeling just ended up happening, and it gave me the opportunity to explore the world at a really young age, and at the same time I fell in love with fashion. Nowadays, I can totally affirm that I love what I do, and recently I’ve been dedicating more time to the creative side of things as well. My latest passion is the intimates line I’m designing that is launching soon!
Most prized possession?
My family values. I grew up in a very different reality than the one I live in now, but the values my family has follow me wherever I go in this world. They always remind me of what truly matters in this life: love, loyalty, integrity.

What is your favorite exercise?
I usually lift weights to gain and keep muscle. I truly enjoy the process, but my favorite sport or hobby is kite surfing! Th ere is a lot of wind in Miami during the winter, so it is the perfect season right now. On top of these activities, I love to frequently add some vinyasa flow for balancing and stretching.
Best advice you’ve ever received?
My father used to always tell me from a very young age: ‘Your conscience is your master.’ It always helped me to make the right decisions.
What’s next?
I’ve been working for over a year building my own brand of intimates, pajamas and loungewear, called AIRES. As a big environmental supporter, this is a fully sustainable business, the materials are biodegradable and recycled. Our focus is in the softness of our lines when touching your skin, and our goal is to bring to the market a comfortable, stylish yet eco-conscious everyday underwear, which is coming out soon! To stay tuned, make sure to please follow us @weareAIRES.
