Axel Stein, Head of Latin American Art for Sotheby’s New York, as well as Julian Gascoigne, Director of British Paintings for Sotheby’s London, hosted a private viewing and conversation about “The Albemarle Havana Views” collection on Tuesday evening at the 1 Penthouse Collection, exclusively being sold by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Following the VIP event, guests were invited to view highlights from the “Latin American Art” collection with special guest, Rene Silva, founder of Jornal Voz das Comunidades a Brazil Foundation grantee that promotes visibility on social issues faced by the Complexo do Alemao community in Rio de Janeiro. The 1 Penthouse Collection is comprised of 29 expansive units, a handful of which already accounted for, with a plethora of natural light and soaring ceilings creating the perfect frame for any collection. The collections on view beautifully adorned the walls of the penthouses and the natural light shining in through the ocean view windows complimented the artwork perfectly.
