The fitness supplement market is saturated to say the least, but Miami entrepreneur Stephen Zieminski has managed to make Naked Nutrition (nakednutrition.com) stand out from the pack by doing the exact opposite of his competitors.

“Unfortunately, many brands try to appear innovative by using the latest and greatest lab-made ingredients when there is no reason to stay away from natural ones,” says Zieminski. “We look to all-natural resources first, which isn’t the approach of many companies on the market today.”

Zieminski’s approach has paid off well. Since launching in 2014, Naked Nutrition has become one of the bestselling brands on Amazon and, as of last year, is available in more than 50 countries—not bad for a line born out of its founder’s frustration.
“After I graduated college and started working [in banking], there were fewer hours in the day to work out, and as I was getting older, proper nutrition became more important than ever,” says the former track and cross-country runner. “Looking for a protein powder to support my physical fitness, I encountered many products on store shelves with long lists of ingredients that I knew had little to no nutritional value. That’s when I set out to create a line that would be transparent, healthy and effective.”

These days Naked Nutrition has about 40 products, including newer additions such as Naked Shake, a vegan protein powder; Naked C, single-serving vitamin C packets; and Nakedade, an energyboosting vegan electrolyte powder. More products are expected this fall and in 2022.
“We strive to meet consumers’ nutrition and fitness goals by being transparent about what we sell,” says Zieminski. “What’s more important than knowing exactly what goes into your body?”
