Italians and Italian cuisine-lovers celebrated la dolce vita at the opening of Fuor d’Acqua, South Beach’s newest—and already much buzzed about—Italian eatery. Owner Antonio Martucci and Executive Chef Dani di Calimero welcomed guests to the restaurant for cocktails and bites from di Calimero’s menu, which stays honest to the original Fuor d’Acqua in Florence, a spot frequented by the likes of Salvatore Ferragamo and Roberto Cavalli. The restaurant’s appellation roughly translates as “out of water” (in a nod to its seafood-centric menu), but it’s clear that Martucci and Co. are anything but at their new location.
