In the Bag

| February 13, 2015 | Parties National

Just as the Basel crowds were beginning to cause social chaos all around Miami, designers Tommy and Dee Hilfiger welcomed a small and select group of friends to their Golden Beach residence for a dinner to celebrate Dee’s collaboration with artist Marc Quinn on a tote featuring the painter’s work and whose sales benefit Autism Speaks.

Exclusive to say the least, the dinner party’s guest list included the likes of photographer Bruce Weber, Aventura developer Jeff Soffer, model Elle Macpherson, producers Jerry and Linda Bruckheimer, jewelry designer Loree Rodkin, artist Michele Oka Doner, and renowned art dealer and gallerist Simon de Pury.

The 65-person gathering was intimate and jovial in tone. Folks mingled with cocktails before sitting down to dinner and congratulated Dee on the bag and its cause. Once supper was served, the Hilfigers thanked the attendees for coming and related some stories about their involvement with Autism Speaks, considered to be the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. As the evening came to an end, more than one guest had mentally noted down the website where the bag is available ( and its reasonable $375 price tag. –Photography by David Prutting/Bill Farrell Agency
