The Big Serve

| March 22, 2016 | Parties National

On Friday, March 18th, local celebrities, the community, The City of Miami Beach and non-profit organizations came together to host The Big Serve, the first annual professional tennis exhibition and clinic for inner-city youth, at the Flamingo Center in Miami Beach. More than 400 inner-city youth played tennis with pro tennis players including Nicolas Massu and Alexander Peja.

Former Miami Heat Star, Alonzo Mourning, local favorite DJ Irie and City of Miami Beach Mayor Phillip Levine all came out to support the event and interact with the children. All proceeds from the event benefited Overtown Youth Center, The Irie Foundation, Wade's World Foundation and the Miami Beach Tennis Foundation.
