THE EVENT A gathering at the Arsht Center to welcome KT Lim, chairman and CEO of Genting Malaysia Berhad, the company that just purchased 13.9 acres of land where the Miami Herald now stands and where it plans to build Resorts World Miami, a complex with a hotel, casino, residential and commercial facilities. THE GUESTS From politicos to developers, attendees included Jorge Perez, Frank Carollo, Thom Collins, and Martina and Fabian Basabe. THE SCENE The impetus for the gathering was a signing ceremony between Lim and Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica, the Miami architecture firm that’s designing the venue.
