Revelations were par for the course at the Miami Science Museum’s Ninth Annual Galaxy Gala at the JW Marriott Marquis. Already in high spirits, the guests were treated to a welcome announcement when it was revealed that local philanthropists Phillip and Patricia Frost had pledged $35 million toward the building of the museum’s new high-tech campus. Now, more than halfway to its private fundraising goal, the museum is set to break ground later this year. With a worthy cause to celebrate, the festivities continued at the Big Bang After Party where Latin funk band Xperimento performed at a space-themed celebration that went late into the night.
