THE PARTY Locust Projects’ annual fundraiser, Smash and Grab THE SCOOP Already in its ninth year, Locust Projects’ most popular event featured art by local, national and international artists for sale. The catch: Each piece was chosen by wannabe owners (earlier in the week) but could only be acquired once said person’s raffle ticket was called. THE SCENE Guests and artists mingled as they noshed on Misha’s Cupcakes and bites from Michael’s Genuine Food + Drink, but hardcore collectors couldn’t hide their frustration as more and more of the works were sold and their tickets weren’t called. Eventually everyone got their art. Photography by Brett Hufziger
