When it comes to the water, there’s yachts and then there’s American billionaire Tilman Fertitta’s $150 million superyacht, Boardwalk. This 77-meter Feadship yacht proves that bigger is always better with seven staterooms, a swimming pool, helipad and four decks. Publicly unveiled as the primary feature of the International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale’s Super Yacht Village, the sumptuous below-deck decor elevates Florida’s yacht scene and sets a spectacularly high bar for bespoke boating interior design everywhere. Spearheading the entire operation is interior designer Amy Halffman (halffmandesigns.com), who drew inspiration from Florida artist and local Estella Fransbergen.

“I drew my original inspiration for the design from an Estella Fransbergen sculpture of a woman’s torso emerging from a spiral of sparkling crystals and pearls,” says Halffman Designs owner Amy Halffman. “It was gorgeous and strong, a fusion of masculine and feminine energy that inspired me to think about luxury and beauty and how they intertwine with functionality and comfort.” She continues, “There is complexity in opulence; there is simplicity in a comfortable chair. Together they create something beautiful like M/Y Boardwalk, which has one of Estella’s sculptures on board.” Together, the pair collaborated on the centerpiece sculpture that intertwines the ship’s design elements and forward-looking luxury. The 74-inch finished piece spotlights a handcrafted torso featuring 7.5 carats of diamonds, a 100-pound quartz stone base and a skirt with more than 2,500 pearls, silver-plated leaves and high-quality European crystals. With no detail overlooked, the sculpture’s natural colors and elegant lines play off one another for a timeless finish, accentuating the ship’s colors and accessories throughout.
