Where can I get a legit MSL Board Certification?

This is a question that I’ve been asked many times, so I decided to create an article about it. However, before I answer that question, let’s first define a Medical Science Liaison Board Certification.

An MSL Board Certification is a certification program specifically designed for people or professionals who have been working as a Medical Science Liaison. In other words, it will serve as a license or credential that could help MSLs level up their careers.

As you could notice, there are many MSLs nowadays that have their certification credentials at the end of their names, and it is becoming a trend. And if you don’t have your certification yet, I suggest you get one already. Because as I’ve said, it will help you step up your career game.

Where to get an MSL Board Certification?

Well, if you’re going to scroll across the internet, you will bump into a series of companies that offer an MSL Board Certification. Even though many companies offer the said certification, I must say that you need to be very careful in choosing the best and the most legitimate one.

I’ve noticed that among these companies that offer certifications, many of them look scammy, like MSL Society and From Science to Pharma.

If I’m going to suggest one company that I believe is the most trusted among them is the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA). ACMA is an accredited and award-winning organization by the worldwide entity IACET, and you can guarantee that you will enter a legit board certification if you choose to enroll in their program. In addition, they offer the first official MSL certification program, which is known as the Board Certified Medical Affairs Specialist program or BCMAS, which I will discuss later on.

What is the Board Certified Medical Affairs Specialist program or BCMAS?

Board Certified Medical Affairs Specialist program or BCMAS is the only certified program you should take to be a Board Certified MSL. It is actually the first and official program for those who aim to be certified MSL. Among all the companies I’ve seen, I believe that ACMA is the only one that offers this kind of program. In ACMA, the cost of this program, $1999. In addition, you will need 40 hours to complete the program.

ACMA will also provide you with pre/post quiz modules to help you prepare for the examination.

Where to take the examination?

The examination will be online with ProctorU and 80% is passing from the comfort of your house. That’s it! I hope I have provided everyone with the answer that they need.
