Brands that give back to the community are changing the world every day. Eat Me Guilt Free, a female-founded Miami-based business is excited to launch their 2022 'You Glow Girl' grant program.
The program launched last year, with the goal to help female entrepreneurs reach new heights with a $10,000 grant, alongside many other exciting and unique perks to help both their business and themselves.

Cristie Besu, CEO and founder of Eat Me Guilt Free is on a mission to help empower other female entrepreneurs. “After a successful debut in 2021, we are excited to launch the 2022 ‘You Glow Girl’ grant,” said Besu. “Supporting female entrepreneurs is a true passion of mine. We started the grant program to bring to life the true purpose of empowerment, as well as to provide the guidance and resources necessary for female entrepreneurs to live out their business dreams. The responsibility is on us as female business owners to take measurable actions to lift up other women walking the path of entrepreneurship."

Applications for this year’s grant open on February 13, just ahead of National Entrepreneurship Week. Applications stay open until July 1, supporting one woman at a time. The application process includes a 30 to 60-second video from each candidate. Following the video portion, 25 semi-finalists will be selected and invited to the next step. On August 1, 10 remaining finalists will be chosen to meet virtually, with Besu herself and an impressive business panel. The grand finale winner will be announced on August 19.
Last year’s inaugural program was such a success, with over 320 applicants in a variety of different specialties from food and beverage, skincare and cosmetics, health and fitness, education, technology and software, marketing, fine art and hospitality. The 2021 grant recipient, Amanda Sheridan was able to take her business, BagValet, to the next level with the support of Besu and the rest of the 'You Glow Girl' grant community.
Prioritizing both physical and mental health, the 2022 grant winner will receive $10,000, a one-year supply of Eat Me Guilt Free, access to a mind, body, spirit virtual suite including a monthly check-in with a mental health professional Gabriela Reyes, a ClassPass subscription and a Calm or Headspace subscription. Aside from these amazing benefits, the recipient will also be able to learn from one of the best in the female entrepreneurs in the sapce, Besu, through a two-part coaching and mentorship experience in Miami at the Eat Me Guilt Free headquarters and also in the winner's city
This opportunity spans far beyond just a cash prize, the winner will truly be mentored in all aspects of life and business.
As a female entrepreneur who has been through many critical career elements, Besu realized that the challenges she faced as a female entrepreneur were not only her challenges but so many others. Through this, she decided she wanted to give back to the community and inspire other female entrepreneurs, thus the 'You Glow Girl' grant was created.
With year two underway, this is just the start of an amazing program helping female entrepreneurs both near and far.
